Our first step to your enquiry is for us to discuss what you want to do and see how we can help you. This is the first opportunity for you to talk us through your vision and we can ask you some important questions. From there, we can arrange to meet on site to discuss your building project In-Depth and what you want to invest in the project.
Meeting on site
We will meet with you on site to discuss in detail what you want to achieve, so bring any sketches, photos and magazines to help our architects get the design that is right for you! We will also discuss the consents you may need for the council’s approval of the project.
One of our designers will do some concept drawings to begin with, followed by a developed design if necessary to get everything right for you. When you are happy with the design, our designer will finalise all the detailed plans together with the council documentation ready to be processed for a building consent.
The Wellington City Council allow 20 working days to go through the plans before giving the building consent approval.
We will provide you with an Item selection list to fill out for the project and once this is completed and the plan is approved, we will get a fixed price quotation together and present this to you explaining the process with our job schedule and completion date.
Finally, we will provide you with a building contract for the work, together with our 10 year Builtin guarantee to be signed by both parties before work begins. The design process together with the building consent can take some time, so don’t delay as we can’t start your building project until your building consent is approved.
